The Blues have extended the contract of Albania international Armando Broja as Todd Boehly looks to the future at Stamford Bridge.

A little about the topic

The Albanian international has signed a contract extension with the Blues until 2028. The player turns 21 later in September, so Chelsea is looking to the future, tying him up early in his career.

Much speculation has sprung up around Armando this summer after the player scored six goals in the PL last season on loan with the Saints. The Hammers, the Magpies and the Toffees were reportedly interested in his services throughout the window, but the move was never sanctioned.

Armando Broja has appeared in three games for Chelsea so far this season, all from the bench. The Blues are still without their traditional number nine and Armando will hope he can show Tuchel that he is ready to step into that position.

What did Armando Broja say?

At the conclusion of the deal, Armando said that he got lost because of the words, who just think about it. According to Armando Broja, this is the club where he dreamed of playing all his life, the club he supports and the club he loves. Broja has been here since childhood, so it’s a surreal feeling for him and his family.

New owner Todd Boehly was delighted to extend the Albanian international’s contract saying they are delighted with Armando Broja’s commitment to Chelsea. According to Todd, Armando Broja is a young and exciting striker and most of their plans are moving forward.

What’s next for Armando?

Some Blues fans want to see Armando given a chance tomorrow to prove himself and build confidence after signing a new deal. Can a ready-made partnership start Thomas Tuchel in person in the form of Armando and Kai Havertz? Chelsea spent the most money in the transfer window this summer and many fans think it’s on top of keeping key players – a huge positive for the club!

The Blues will face the Hammers on September 3rd and Armando Broja will be hoping to be given the chance to show what the player is made of and prove why he was awarded this contract.
