There have been 11 matches between India and Pakistan in the Women’s Cricket World Cup so far and India has won every time.

But more than India’s victory on Sunday, there have been pictures and videos which showed how much respect and sense of sportsmanship the players of both the countries have towards each other.

The video of Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof is going viral on social media in India and Pakistan. In the video, she is holding her daughter in her lap and the players of the Indian team are seen loving and cockering her daughter.

Users from both countries are writing their opinions on this video. Journalist Mujib Mashel wrote, “Watching this video will make your heart melt in a beautiful way.”

While an Indian user wrote, “Share love, not hate.” Another user named Saad wrote, “This is the best thing in today’s internet. On some occasions, cricket off the field can be so beautiful.”

Another user wrote, “This is the most beautiful picture of the Women’s Cricket World Cup.”

Pakistan cricket team captain Bismah Maroof has recently become a mother and has arrived to take part in the World Cup being played in New Zealand with her daughter.

Maroof’s mother has also arrived in New Zealand along with Maroof and her daughter Fatima in the tournament. This is the first time that after becoming a mother, a female player has been allowed to have a caretaker in the tournament.

In fact, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) introduced the parental support policy for the first time in May 2021, under which a woman cricketer has been provided with the facility of one-year maternity leave. The first beneficiary under this policy is the current captain Bismah Maroof.

In December, Bismah Maroof announced her availability for the World Cup after which she was allowed to carry a support staff.

Bismah Maroof’s international cricket career began in December 2006. In 109 ODIs for Pakistan, Maroof has so far scored 2617 runs, including 14 half-centuries.

Her highest score in ODI cricket is 99. The record for most runs scored in ODI cricket without a century in women’s cricket is still in her name.

In 108 matches of T20 cricket, she has scored 2225 runs, including 11 half-centuries. Also, in T20 cricket, she took 36 wickets. She has the most runs for Pakistan in T20 cricket to her name.

Bismah Maroof was named the captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team in 2019.
