A little about Pele’s condition

The Brazilian football legend will remain hospitalized at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Sao Paulo to receive the New Year because his clinical condition has worsened and Pele is no longer responding to treatment, so he is only receiving palliative care to help him alleviate pain and breathe better.

In a medical report, it is mentioned that the Brazilian does not have an optimistic outlook on the health of what is considered the best footballer of all time:

The medical report on Pele’s health states that he represents the progression of cancer and requires further care related to kidney and heart dysfunctions. Pele remains hospitalized in a common room, under the necessary care of the medical team.

The former Brazilian player, who is 82 years old, has been hospitalized since November 29. At the time, Pele arrived at the hospital for a routine follow-up visit to chemotherapy, which the Brazilian had been undergoing the previous year, and was diagnosed with a respiratory infection. Pele had a case of coronavirus weeks earlier and although he responded favorably to a respiratory infection, the former player is no longer responding to chemotherapy and is only being given palliative care to relieve pain and shortness of breath.
