The situation
In the absence of sales of the first team, Real Madrid continues to collect with its brightest youth squad. The sale last Friday of Miguel Gutiérrez to Girona for an amount close to €4M joins what was entered at the beginning of July by another Castilista, Gila , who left €6M. Both left with Madrid, keeping 50 percent of their rights and the next one ready to embark on the same path and with the same formula is Juanmi Latasa. Although Raúl prefers not to decapitalize the subsidiary any further, he understands the needs of the entity and the projection that an exit to a First Division offers his pupils. For Madrid it is a way to generate income, even if it is in different seasons. That is what can happen now with Javi Hernández , sold to Leganés in the summer of 2021 for €600,000 and who is now on the verge of being sold for between €2M and €3M. Half will go to the coffers of Chamartín. A further €1M has also gone to them for the sale of the homegrown central defender Víctor Chust to Cádiz after a year on loan there. Iván Morante, for his part, has gone to Ibiza in exchange for a percentage in a possible sale. In other cases, Castilla has released ballast in the form of homegrown players who had a hard time playing in this new Raúl team. In this way, Valdebebas has left one of the ‘veterans’ of the squad: Sergio Santos (21 years old), loaned to Mirandés . This may also be the way for Marvin (21), who also made his debut with the first team and has been allowed to seek a destiny.
In search of a striker for the subsidiary…
Real Madrid invested this summer in two reinforcements for Castilla, the winger Leiva and especially the striker Noel López, but they could still land one more signing also for the Castilista attack point. If Latasa’s departure is finalized, the entity will address another signing for the area . One of the options that has been considered and is still in the portfolio is that of Dani González , Albacete striker; the other is Iker Bravo , the jewel of Bayern Leverkusen for whom Atlético is also fighting. The entity from La Mancha has received different proposals for his new talent but for the moment it has not given the green light to a transfer… Castilla is currently running, in addition to Noel López, only with the young Álvaro Rodríguez (18 years old), Raúl has no more wood. The Icelandic Gudjohnsen was the alternative last season to Latasa, but he has left for the Swedish IFK. Raúl will need to cover the goal quota of Latasa (13 last season) and Arribas (15), if the latter finally leaves the entity this summer and since last year’s Juvenil A there has not been an incontestable scorer. A new striker therefore enters the scene.
