Thiago Silva has been a key member of Chelsea’s 2021-22 squad but has just one year left on his contract.

Silva beefs up Chelsea’s defense

The Brazilian player gave the Blues a defensive push, showing that he would be happy to stay at Stamford Bridge for a fourth season. Thiago signed for Chelsea on a free transfer following his departure from PSG in August 2020 and has since made 82 appearances for the club in all competitions. Silva played a key role in Chelsea’s run to Champions League glory in his debut season and added the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup to his CV in 2021-22, but he should be a free agent next year.

Brazilian player talks about his future

The Blues won’t be able to hand out any new contracts until the proposed sale of the club goes through and Abramovich is determined to hand over the reins of ownership to a consortium led by LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly. The Brazilian hopes Chelsea will put him in touch with the new terms as soon as they can because the player and his family feel right at home in west London.

In the Blues’ official match program prior to their 2-1 victory over Watford, Thiago Silva said it was strange. According to Thiago, They come for one season and don’t know what’s going to happen because people look at them and maybe have a few doubts because of their age.

Silva was happy to take on a second season and now a third – and who knows, maybe even a fourth after that! The Brazilian is happy here, his family is happy and that helps a lot because when he goes out of bounds it can only go well. He is happy in London. Silva feels at home. Even when Thiago first came to London, he felt at home inside the stadium, he felt the love from the fans on social media and it goes a long way. Thiago Silva says they play well when they feel at home.
