Stefano Pioli is convinced that Zlatan should extend his contract upon the player commenting on his personal achievement and duty to score goals for Inter Milan

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a double in the 21st round of Serie A against Crotone (4: 0) and exceeded the 500-goal mark in his club career. After the game, Zlatan commented on his personal achievement and noted that his duty is to score goals.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “500 goals – it means that I have done something in my career, but the main thing is to continue and help the team as much as possible. My job is to score a goal.”

Zlatan’s contract with Milan expires at the end of the current season, and it is still unknown what decision he will make. Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is convinced that the club should extend his contract with Ibra:

“I think it would be right to renew his contract. He cares about physical training. His body is ready in every way. To get to this level, you need to be a special professional,” said Pioli.

Recall that Milan leads Serie A by 48 points and is one point ahead of fellow city Inter. Ibrahimovic has scored 14 goals in 11 Serie A matches. So, he is second only to Cristiano Ronaldo in the scorers’ dispute (2 goals).
