Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign PSG player Layvin Kurzawa, but Thomas Tuchel is reluctant to sign the defender.

Will The Blues sign Layvin Kurzawa?

The PL heavyweights find themselves unable to fill the left dorsal berth after Chilwell suffered a knee ligament injury at the end of the season. Options are being explored when it comes to getting new or familiar faces on board, with Paris Saint-Germain ready to do business with its European rivals if all sides open up to talks.

It is understood that there have been discussions between officials in west London and the French capital regarding the availability of Layvin’s. However, Paris Saint-Germain have not yet received an official approach, amid talk that Serie A side Napoli are getting carried away and have no bids on the table. This may remain the case when it comes to Chelsea when the Blues face opposition to the deal from their German manager.

Thomas previously worked with Layvin at the Parc des Princes so he knows all about the qualities he would offer in English football. Tuchel appears less than convinced that Layvin Kurzawa, who was limited to just nine minutes of football with Paris Saint-Germain in the 2021-22 campaign, is the answer to Chelsea’s problems.

A little about the topic

Chelsea are looking for a short term deal, with England international Ben Chilwell being welcomed back into their fold along with Alonso at some stage. They had already withdrawn Kenedy from the loan spell at Flamengo in his native Brazil and he could provide cover on the left flank if needed. Thomas would rather get a more natural fit through the doors before another recruiting window closes, with efforts still being made to shorten Palmeiri’s stay in Lyon.

The Italy player has over 70 appearances for Chelsea under his own name but should see a season in France. Lyon are refusing to terminate this loan agreement early, with three compensation offers to be beaten back by Ligue 1 heavyweights. This keeps The Blues on the lookout for alternative markets and they remain open to agents like Leyvin’s when it comes to finding the right solutions.
