Tim David

Tim David has proven to be one of the brightest signings of the summer. Threatening to derail at 98/6 and working only with bowlers in an inning for the Lancashire Chargers, David showed all his strength and timing in a brutal batting performance. Four fours and many sixes, including a pair of brutal falls, took his score from 25 to 60 at Old Trafford in the Manchester at the end of his third consecutive innings of 183. Any hopes of chasing the Worcestershire Rapids were dashed by Richard Gleason, whose career-best 5/33 stats helped the Chargers finish the game, his penultimate finish putting the important three. The wicket went to well-placed Jack Libby and Colin Munro.

The Singapore-born globe-trotting Aussie was on one on the non-striker’s finish when Lancashire misplaced wickets in successive balls to slide to 6-98 within the thirteenth over. The subsequent ball to David was launched again over the pinnacle of bowler Brett D’Oliveira, with a second six coming in the identical over into the gang at deep midwicket. He has brutalish since he picked his form in the IPL 2022. Now, for Lancashire, the big guy is playing a vital role helping the team to finish on high.

In the last match, he scored 35 off 21 now he has scored a match winning 25 balls 60 when his team needed it most. Tim David came to the crease when David Lamb was given leg before out on the very first ball he played. 6 for 98 is never an ideal score to ground the acceleration in the innings. Despite the pressure, Tim David played a fantastic knock and slammed 21 balls 50.

He shared a 39 ball 81 partnership with left arm fast bowler Like Wood who scored 22 off 17 balls and ended with an unbeaten score. A big boost in the score and having 183 in run bank, Lancashire were confident to defend the score. Also, the momentum of the game was with Lancashire. Eperienced in business bowler Gleeson bagged his best bowling perfomance in T20 career with 33 for 5 in four overs. Fow Worcestershire, Colin Munro tried is best with 36 balls 53 but losing wickets in clusters in the slog overs made it difficult for them.
