Timo Werner says Chelsea’s teammates Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi predicted that he will score after the German ends his 12-game drought with a winner at West Ham.

This is the best feeling after winning

Germany International transformed Ben Chilwell’s low cross in the first half at London Stadium as Thomas Tuchel’s side secured a vital victory that puts them three points from the Hammers in fourth place. It was Werner’s ninth all-competition goal for Chelsea this season, but his first since a 2-0 win over Newcastle in February, with the striker celebrating by pointing out Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham for a substitution. former RB Leipzig striker said he was very happy that they won this game and that it was a big win for them in the top 4 race. It is the best feeling after winning a game to score a goal.

It was really important for him and for the whole team. It’s great to be back in the trash. Explaining his celebration, Timo Werner also said that Hudson-Odoi told him he would score today and 30 seconds later Abraham came in and said he would score today. They told him to point them when he scores. It could have been even better for Timo, but somehow he released the ball wide at close range after a Mason Mount’s kick was parried in his way early in the second half. The forward, however, was not too low on the miss, saying that he should score a second chance, but should come back slowly. One goal is enough. Two goals might be too many to start with!

Arrival in England

Timo arrived in England with high expectations, scoring 34 goals in 45 appearances for Leipzig last season. His current tally of 11 out of 44 appearances is somewhat disappointing in comparison, although his nine assists mean he has been directly involved in more goals than any Blues player in all competitions so far. Timo said it’s not just confidence this season, maybe it’s luck as well, reflecting on his performances for Stamford Bridge so far. Last year the ball was always on, this year it is different and he is confident that chances like his second will also continue in the coming weeks and months.
