Tuchel “Boring Wins” Force Fans to Reel From Lampard Sacking
Tuchel is yet to lose with Chelsea although fans are still reeling from Lampard’s sacking after a “boring” win over Sheffield and Barnsley.
So far so good for the new Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel since he took over managerial roles from Lampard. However, in fairness, the coach was handed the tricky task of following in Lampard’s footsteps. However, following Lampard isn’t the toughest assignment in the world of football. The Stamford Bridge hero had overseen a woeful slump in form and Chelsea were sliding down the table.
Regardless, Lampard is arguably Chelsea’s biggest hero and the fanbase are still in shock at the merciless change that happened at the club. But now, Tuchel is at the helm. With five games played, he has four wins and a draw.
Is Tuchel Boring at Chelsea?
Replacing a club legend as a manager is an unenviable task for any coach. And, for Tuchel, taking over from Lampard was always going to be a bumpy ride. Off the pitch and away from the stands, the majority of the Chelsea fanbase is still reeling at the ruthless departure of Lampard.
And, some of these supporters are yet to be won over by Tuchel. Some have taken to social media to criticize “boring” wins in the FA Cup against Barnsley and in the League against Sheffield United.
Jorginho’s return to midfield echoes Maurizio Sarri’s days in charge during which “boring” was a word often thrown at Chelsea.
But taking over mid-season is difficult for any manager especially in a new league in a different country.
