Lukaku’s natural ability as number nine could help Werner thrive after his first season misfire at Chelsea, Tuchel said ahead of the Belgian’s second debut.

What did Thomas Tuchel say?

The former Inter player returned to Stamford Bridge 10 years later to further strengthen the Champions League holders’ offensive after the European success of the previous term. He joins the striking force, which includes Germany star Timo Werner, who has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League at the point of his maiden campaign with the club. With the addition of Romelu Lukaku, however, Thomas Tuchel feels that the former will be able to take his game to new heights.

Thomas Tuchel said in a pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday that he truly believes this could be a big upgrade for Timo Werner. Having a focus on Lukaku, who loves to be in the center of the serve and fight physically with defenders, can create space for Werner. From a position, he can play a little wider than he previously played for them last season. To play around Lukaku, who is like number nine, he hopes Tuchel will give Werner the freedom and space to play around him and feel easier to find more dangerous spots and start scoring again.

Everything will look like this

Trying to get his way 10 years ago at Stamford Bridge before doing better in the Premier League and overseas, the Belgian returns to west London, trying to make sure that the charm is a second time. Thomas had previously confirmed that, having arrived too late to take part in either their Super Bowl triumph over Villarreal or their season against Crystal Palace, Romelu Lukaku will be queuing up to face Arsenal this weekend. The German said that they hope that he will take to the field at the beginning of Sunday, and everything will look like this.
