The 28th match of IPL 2022 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at the DY Patil Cricket Stadium in Mumbai.

In this match, Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson (Punjab Kings) won the toss and decided to bowl first and the bowlers once again bowled brilliantly.

Batting first in this match, Punjab could score only 151 runs in 20 overs. There was a target of 152 runs in front of Hyderabad, which the team easily achieved. This was Hyderabad’s fourth consecutive win in this season.

Left-arm spinner J Suchit (1 for 28) also bowled tight. Malik is the fourth bowler after Irfan Pathan (2008), Lasith Malinga (2009) and Jaydev Unadkat (2017) to maiden the last over of the innings in the IPL.

This is the fourth victory of Sunrisers in 6 matches, while Punjab has to face the third defeat in the same number of matches.

Livingstone hits half century

In this match, Punjab was staggered in the beginning. Shikhar Dhawan (8 runs), leading the team due to the injury of Mayank Agarwal, did not look comfortable at any time and soon returned to the pavilion after practicing the catch.

Punjab’s team, despite Liam Livingstone’s 60 off 33 balls, scored only 19 runs in the last four overs, meanwhile, were all out for 151 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.

Livingstone hit five fours and four sixes in his innings. He shared a 71-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Shah Rukh Khan (26 off 28 balls).
