Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, with Nida Dar appointed as the captain. The team includes familiar faces like Aliya Riaz and Diana Baig, as well as newcomers like Tasmia Rubab and Iram Javed. Notable omissions from the squad are Ayesha Zafar and Rameen Shamim.

Tasmia Rubab, a promising left-arm pacer, has earned her spot in the team through impressive performances in domestic tournaments. The 22-year-old took 12 wickets in the National Women’s One-Day Tournament and maintained an economy rate of 6.36 in the National Women’s T20 Tournament.

The squad, led by Nida Dar, will undergo a training camp in Karachi starting on July 5 before departing for Sri Lanka on July 16. The team’s first match is against arch-rivals India on July 19.

Head coach Muhammad Wasim will be assisted by Abdur Rehman, Junaid Khan, and Hanif Malik during Pakistan’s campaign in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup. Stay tuned for updates on Pakistan’s performance in the tournament.
