Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli feels that fans will never forget MS Dhoni’s illustrious stint as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Dhoni has decided to hand over the command of CSK to Ravindra Jadeja before the IPL 2022 season. Sharing a picture on Twitter, Kohli wrote, ‘You have finished a successful stint as captain. Fans will never forget this chapter.

Jadeja got the captaincy

Ravindra Jadeja has been made the captain of CSK. The player, who has been a part of CSK since 2012, will be only the third player to lead the Chennai-based franchise.

Dhoni will continue to play as a player for CSK this season. In the last few years, Jadeja has made a different place in everyone’s hearts due to his brilliant game.

CSK won the IPL trophy four times

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was captained in 213 IPL matches, winning 121 matches, losing 82 matches and no result in one match, 59.60 per cent of his win.

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, CSK has won four IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 as well as two Champions League T20 titles in 2010 and 2014.

Meanwhile, IPL 2022 will begin with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
