In a hilarious interaction after Liverpool secured a place in the Champions League final, Virgil van Dijk criticizes Thierry Henry for failing to respond to his message.

Virgil van Dijk, a key player for Liverpool, had a hilarious discussion with Arsenal icon Thierry Henry, in which he said the Frenchman did not respond to a text message he sent.

On Tuesday night, Van Dijk led the Reds out as captain as Jurgen Klopp’s team overcame Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate to book their place in the Champions League final on May 28. ‘Titi,’ Van Dijk stated after the game, before conducting an interview with CBS Sports and learning that Henry was in their studio. I texted him, but he didn’t respond!’ ‘Right now, you tell him.’ Titi, you’re a legend!’

When host Kate Abdo asked Henry why he hadn’t responded, the Frenchman explained, ‘I honestly don’t have his phone anymore.’ So send me a text… I’ll ask someone else for his phone number.

‘’I changed my phone number, and when I added all of my numbers to my new phone, his was missing.’

Then, in the studio, with ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards smiling, Carragher asked: ‘To be fair tonight, there has been a little bit of lack of respect from Thierry…’

‘I mean, Virgil van Dijk isn’t wearing a tie, and CBS isn’t wearing one either.’ He’s a great guy who has shown you respect, but you haven’t responded.’

‘He didn’t text the appropriate number!’ Henry said calmly. I’ll track him down. You’re irritated because he’s messaging you!’

Van Dijk has played a key role in Liverpool’s quest for an unprecedented quadruple this season.

They’ll face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final in Paris, while still competing for the Premier League title and facing Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 14.
