Wayne talks about the situation at Man Utd

It’s no secret that Man Utd is in transition, with the club struggling to find consistency since Ferguson’s passing in 2013. Since then, Man Utd has gone through four permanent managers, while Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs have also been drafted at various points while the changes have been made. It remains to be seen whether current interim manager Rangnick will be asked to stay on the sidelines after the 2021-22 season, with a German candidate for an advisory role if the club brings in the likes of Erik Ten Hag or Pochettino on a full-time basis.

However, whatever happens, Wayne stressed the need for whoever takes on the role to be given time to build a balanced lineup capable of challenging for the top honors again. Wayne Rooney added that they are obviously going through a difficult period. Whether it’s Ralf Rangnick or a new manager at the end of the season, they need someone to get in there and build the squad. Rooney thinks that the next three years will certainly be very difficult for them to win PL. They have to give someone time to build a squad and challenge for big prizes.
