Liverpool lost again – this time to Brighton. Jürgen Klopp explains the incident with fatigue. The Manchester City series is already very impressive.

In the fight to keep the English championship, Liverpool received a big blow – Jurgen Klopp’s team lost at home to relegation candidate Brighton 0: 1. Central defender Ozan Kabak, who was rented from Schalke, has not played yet. It was the third home game in a row for Liverpool in which the Merseysiders failed to score.

“We have really disappointed everyone in the last home games,” left-back Andy Robertson told BT Sport after the game.

Klopp explained what happened: “Brighton won a well-deserved victory. They did more good things on the pitch than we did. My players look tired and mentally exhausted.

With this defeat, Liverpool (40 points) dropped to 4th place as Leicester defeated Fulham 2: 0 and moved up to 3rd place. The leader is Manchester City with 47 points, who have increased their impressive winning streak with a 2-0 victory over Burnley and now have won 13 official matches in a row (9 in the Premier League). The last time a 13-match winning streak from a Premier League team was at Arsenal London in 2002.
