Pippo Inzaghi, who is now Benevento’s head coach, is in favor of the season’s renewal despite the coronavirus spread worldwide and especially in Italy.

“I can’t even imagine not finishing the season. An unusual situation has arisen, and thoughts are divided. Many may disagree, but we have to keep playing football.

I personally agree that the teams were on the field even in July and August. I talked to the players and the president about it, and they are of the same opinion. The current situation should not ruin everything” – Pippo told Sky Sport Italia.

The point is that Benevento’s Serie B has only lost 1 out of 28 matches and is ahead of Croton by 20 points. Therefore, a raise in Serie A is virtually guaranteed. So, the fact that Inzaghi is against the season’s disruption is not surprising.

70% of salary cuts – decent behavior of Barcelona players

Barcelona players are relinquishing 70% of their salaries in order not to cause problems for the club during the worldwide coronavirus crisis.

Lionel Messi, the Argentinean leader of the Spanish Grand, has released the relevant statement on the social network.

According to the reports, Barça players will transfer money to club staff in order to avoid any problems with their pay.

“We had no problem with the agreement. We all realize that there is an extraordinary situation in the world. So,  steps must be taken accordingly.

Strangely, there were people in the club who were trying to exert some pressure in this regard, though we had already made the decision.

This statement was delayed a little. We were trying to get to the bottom of everything in financial terms. ”

Soon, a former Barcelona player Xavi echoed the statement posted on Messi’s Instagram page. Xavi wrote:

“It is a very good step for all of you! Congratulations! As always, the Barca remains an exemplary club.”

Recall that just like other sports leagues, the Spanish La Liga has been suspended indefinitely.
