West Ham is close to closing a € 30m deal for Moscow CSKA star Nikola Vlasic after rejecting Jesse Lingard. Jesse Lingard of Man Utd had an impressive six-month loan at West Ham last season, and David Moyes has made no secret of his desire to sign the 28-year permanent deal. The Hammers were looking at alternative targets, however, just in case they failed to re-sign Jesse Lingard, with Nikola Vlasic now betting on a return to the Premier League two years since his departure from Everton.

West Ham is working to complete a € 30 million transfer from CSKA that negotiations between the two clubs are well ahead on 31 August. East London outfit has now accepted Jesse Lingard will remain at Old Trafford, but David Moyes remains determined to add another creative attacking player to his ranks as he prepares his side for both the Domestic and European fronts this season. Nikola Vlasic still has three years to run on his contract at CSKA, but the Russian outfit is open for sale and if negotiations continue smoothly West Ham could strike a deal within the next 48 hours.

Nikola Vlasic began his career at Hadjuk Split, where he spent three years before being dismantled by Everton in 2017. The Croat has only managed to score twice in 19 appearances for the Toffees who sold him to CSKA in 2019, but he has taken his game to new heights in the Russian Premier League. Croatian midfielder Nikola Vlasic has recorded 33 goals and 21 assists in 108 games for CSKA and looks poised to make a bigger impact in English football.
