India vs West Indies is always expected to be a spectacle. However, it was another disappointing day for the West Indies.

They have lost 6 out of 6 matches played in India this year. It is surprising that a few years ago, they were almost unbeatable in the T20s.

India vs West Indies Performance

India has been steadily approaching the T20 World cup 2022 with confidence. Suryakumar Yadav gave a phenomenal representation of his talent against the West Indies. On a similar note, Venkatesh Iyer was destructive all around in the part during the last couple of overs.

All around, without big names in the team, India was clinical with the ball and destructive with the bat.

For West Indies, there are plenty of problems to begin with. They started on a positive note. So far they went and troubled the Indian batting lineup in the first 10 overs of the first inning.

However, lack of discipline and unproductive approach made brought them under pressure. Team India scored 91 runs in the last 6 overs which shows how weak West Indies bowling in the death overs was. On the other hand, it shows the terrific form of India and the strength of their middle and lower order.

India vs West Indies Match Analysis

India vs West Indies series was pretty one-sided. However, we saw some emerging and responsible players from both of the teams. Nicholas Pooran played defiantly and tried to show a positive intent throughout the T20 matches.

Except for the individual players, the captaincy was another aspect that puts India dynamically and strategically ahead of the West Indies. Pollard made unexpected changes and lacked a method for accurate execution of the plans. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma held his nerves despite the destructive approach of the West Indies top-order batting line-up. Consequently, he got rewards for his well-planned strategies and strenuous efforts of the bowlers.

A match of cricket can take abrupt turns. Both teams considered these matches as preparations for the T20 World cup. For now, it appears that India has found the solution for its middle-order batting line-up. Positively, the bowlers are in form too. For West Indies, it wasn’t a sweet ride. Surely, they will try to bring some lethal pace to their bowling line-up for upcoming matches. This will improve their chances in the series against the English side.
