West Indies vs England, 1st Test: Craig Brathwaite Hits Half-Century, Day 2 Highlights
In the first Test against West Indies being played in Antigua, England could only score 311 runs in their first innings. In reply, the Caribbean team has scored 202 runs for the loss of four wickets at the end of the second day’s play and are currently trailing by 109 runs on the basis of the first innings.

Chris Woakes was the first to be dismissed on day 2, playing ahead of yesterday’s score of 268/6. He was dismissed for the seventh wicket at the score of 284, he was batting at 28. After a strong start, West Indies lost four wickets to the score of 127. Meanwhile, Shamrah Brooks (18) and Jermaine Blackwood (11) were dismissed cheaply.
Bonner and Holder batted cautiously amidst the fall of wickets and did not allow the team to suffer any loss on the second day. Together, the two added 75 runs for the fifth wicket and the team’s score reached 200.
Bonner has scored 34 runs in 103 balls with the help of three fours. On the other hand, the experienced holder has scored 43 runs in 104 balls with the help of six fours and a six.
Holder completed his 2,500 runs during his 54th Test. He has become the 31st West Indies batsman to reach this figure.
Fast bowler Mark Wood took a wicket in the 12th over in of Brathwaite for 24 runs. Also, all-rounder Ben Stokes bagged one wicket for 20 runs in his nine overs.
Apart from these, one wicket each came in the account of Chris Woakes and Craig Overton. On the other hand, spinner Jack Leach could not achieve any success. He bowled 15.5 overs and spent 29 runs.
