It is very obvious that how players perform in the IPL will be one of the measurements to decide their place in the T20 World Cup that will take place in Australia. The BCCI Selectors are closely watching and must be worried about some of star players’ forms.

Two leading names in Indian cricket are having nightmare in the IPL 2022. Also, the youngsters have had a disappointing tournament so far. Rohit Sharma has been good in early on his innings but his failure in converting it to a big has been  visible in every innings of his. The matter of concern is he will leading India as a captain. So far, in his IPL, his leadership has failed to make the team perform collectively. Before leading his team in the World Cup, he will focus on getting the bridges fixed in handling the team on ground.

Virat Kohli has tried everything but bad luck keeps following him. Some speculate it as a bad luck, but his form is the past year hasn’t been up to his own standards. Deliveries out of off stumps have begun to trouble and deviate him. The trend started back in Australia when Pat Cummins had his numbers using it the out of off bowling strategy. Today, he will batting against Gujarat’s bowling attack. Shami, Ferguson, Rashid, Alzaari, all are exhibiting a wonderful display of their strengths.

Rohit Sharma has scored 153 runs in 8 matches and in some matches he also looked in good rhythm but could not convert it into big scores. At the same time, Virat Kohli, the highest run-scorer in IPL, has been able to score only 129 runs in 9 matches in the ongoing season.

The lack of confidence in the legendary batsman of the present time is clearly visible. Several former legends, including former India coach Ravi Shastri, have suggested the batsman to pull out of the IPL. On the other hand, former Indian captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has backed the duo to get back in the game.

In an interview with News18, Sourav Ganguly said, “He is a great player and I am sure he will be back in form. I hope he starts scoring runs soon. I don’t know what Virat Kohli has in mind.” What is going on in me. But I am sure he will regain his form and get some good runs. He is a great player.”
