Xavi Hernandez spoke about Barcelona in an interview with Marca. He said that people must respect Setien.
Former Barcelona player, Xavi Hernandez has once again confirmed that his goal is to work as a Barcelona’s head coach.
“I will never hide that my main goal is working at Barcelona. This is my home, I dream of coaching Barcelona. But at the moment, I am concentrating on working in Qatar,” said the 40-year-old Spaniard, who now works in Al Sadd, Qatar, in an interview with Marca.
The 2010 world champions added that Barça did not want to weaken the position of current coach Quique Setien: “We have to respect Setien. I like his ideas. Quique’s teams dominate and play spectacular football. I wish the team all the best. When Barça need me, for a while, or for a long time, it will happen.”
As you know, Xavi’s future has been particularly actively linked with Barça lately. The president of the Catalan Grand, Josep Bartomeu, once again stated in an interview with ‘Mundo Deportivo’ on Sunday that he was not going to let Quique Setien go.
Xavi Hernandes also commented about the age of Leo Messi: “Leo will play as long as he wants. He is physically strong. “I do not doubt that Messi will play in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.”
