Rajasthan Royals have found their mojo, it is so beautiful when they play at their absolute best and Wednesday night at Eden Gardens was a special one for the RR. Yuzvendra Chahal and Yashasvi Jaiswal put up a show for KKR.

Rajasthan are now back in the race of the top four with a commanding victory over Kolkata, winning the match by 9 wickets when chasing 150 runs. It was an extraordinary win for Rajasthan Royals but most importantly, it was a night that belonged to two Royals who created history.

Yuzvendra Chahal Becomes Most Wicket Taker In IPL

Even before the start of the match, it was speculated that Yuzvendra Chahal will have the opportunity to create history at Eden Gardens. What a night for him, Yuzi ended the match with phenomenal figures 4-25-4.

Now, Chahal has 187 wickets to his name, surpassing Dwayne Bravo who is officially retired so there is no early competition for him in the future. He is also the youngest wicket taker to bag in 187 wickets in 144 matches.

Now if was talk about the story of Chahal’s last 3 matches vs KKR, he has taken 9 wickets which means that he enjoys bowling against Knights.

His bowling par excellence on Thursday evening, in the 17th over of first innings, he only conceded 3 runs and picked 2 wicket then in the 19th over, he dismissed Rinku Singh and conceded only 2 runs.

Chahal dismissed three left handed batters namely Nitish Rana, Venketesh Iyer and Rinku Singh, and Shardul Thakur who is right hander.

In cricket, a leg spinner Bowling to left handers in a phenomenon so here Yuzi proved that his skills are too good for any batter, left handed or right handed.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Creates History With Fastest Half Century

KKR already has so many problems when they came on field to defend 159. Then everything was made worse by brutal storming of young Yashasvi Jaiswal who took 26 runs from the first over the chase.

From thereon,  Jaisawal didn’t look back, he pressed even hardly and by the end of third over, he has scored fastest half century in ths history of IPL, taking just 13 balls to reach 50 runs mark.

In the post match talk, Sanju Samson said that when a legend like Jos Buttler threw his wicket for Yashasvi, you know how good he was playing. Jaiswal finished with 47 balls 98, unfortunately fell two runs short from a well deserved century.

Samson himself scored 48 off 28 balls but it was massively overshadowed by what Jaisawal was doing at the other end. His innings included 13 fours and 5 sixes, it was a great show pure ball striking and strength of Yashasvi Jaiswal.

So the night belonged to the Royals, especially Yuzvendra Chahal and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who created history and as a result of it, their team was top of the game.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals has taken a step ahead towards qualification for the top four teams. For Kolkata Knight Riders, it means that they won’t be able to reach 16 points and unlikely they will qualify.
