Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya has created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pandya has completed his 100 sixes in the IPL. This is the second time this year that a player has completed 100 six. Before Pandya, Jos Buttler completed 100 sixes fear in the IPL.

Talking about Hardik Pandya, he is second Indian player to hit 100 sixes. However, he is fastest Indian to cross that mark. Earlier this all-rounder had taken 99 catches in 95 IPL matches. Pandya achieved this feat off Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler Aiden Markram who came to bowl 9th over after the wicket of Matthew Wade.

Aiden Markram came to bowl the ninth over of Gujarat Titans innings. He pitched it in slot and Hardik Pandya smeared it over cow corner for a massive six. It was his only 6 in this match. Pandya has become the 26th player overall to hit 100 or more sixes in the IPL. Hardik has become the first Indian to complete a century in the fewest balls. He has achieved this feat in 1046 balls.

Earlier this record was recorded in the name of wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant from India. Pant had hit his hundredth six in 1224 balls, while Yusuf Pathan is at number three among Indians. Pathan completed his century of sixes in 1313 balls. By the way, the record of hitting the fastest 100 sixes in IPL is in the name of Andre Russell. Russell did this feat in 657 balls. Chris Gayle is at number two in this list by hitting 100 sixes in 943 balls while Hardik Pandya has reached number three.

Perhaps the pressure of captaincy has had some effects on his batting. He completed his fifty by pushing for a single off the fifth ball of the 20th over. During this he hit 4 fours and a six. Gujarat scored 162 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Abhinav Manohar was dismissed after scoring 35 runs and surely his innings allowed Gujarat Titans to pass off 160 runs mark.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan took two wickets each while Marco Yanesan and Umran Malik took one wicket each.
