After IPL 2022 , Team India will host a 5-match T20 series against South Africa in June. The BCCI has also announced the schedule of India vs South Africa T20 series taking place just after end of IPL season. This is a home series and surely, BCCI would like to make it beneficial for young talents while senior players will be rested.
In such a situation, young players will have a good chance to make a place in the team. The team’s former explosive batsman Virender Sehwag has recently named 3 young bowlers who can get a chance in this T20 series.
The T20 series will start from Delhi on 9 June. Former Indian team explosive batsman Virender Sehwag believes that young players should be given a chance by resting the main fast bowlers for this series. Sehwag said in a conversation with Cricbuzz, ‘You can give a break to your main bowlers, because in England also there are T20 matches to be played along with Tests. Those who have done well in the IPL can be given a chance in the home series. Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan can be included in the team.

Sehwag said on Arshdeep, “You are talking about T20 World Cup. I would like to say that Arshdeep should get a chance in the upcoming home T20 series against South Africa. This will give you an idea of how he bowls against the international team and he will also get some experience.”
Arshdeep Singh has so far taken 3 wickets in 9 matches in IPL 2022, but he has spent only runs at an economy of 7.70. Avesh Khan has played 8 matches so far this season, he has secured 11 in these matches at an economy rate of 8.33. At the same time, Umran Malik has taken 15 wickets in 8 matches so far this season.
