The Blues should be looking to sign Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, says former French footballer William Gallas and Chelsea have been advised to explore a six-month deal.
What did Gallas say about Cristiano Ronaldo?
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently without a club following the release of the Red Devils. Various drop points have been raised for Cristiano, from the Americas to Saudi Arabia, but William believes the Portuguese could do a useful job heading the line to Stamford Bridge if he can be acquired on a short-term deal.
The former Chelsea defender has said the Blues should buy the striker. According to William Gallas, they have to find the right striker who fits the system. It’s not just William who sees this problem. He thinks the Blues are in a position where they don’t score many goals and Cristiano could do that. The player would have a hard time on the bench at the World Championship, so he needs time to think to avoid a situation like the one that happened at the Red Devils.
Gallas says if Cristiano Ronaldo moves to the Blues it should only be until the end of the season, he thinks he could do a good job there.
A little about the topic
The Blues’ position in world football ensures they are forever in the market for the best talent available, and William believes he should also bring them into the mixed doubles for Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham. The former player added on the England international: “Jude Bellingham should go to the Blues.” They need a midfielder who is tall, strong and can go boxing. Jude is the perfect player for the Blues and they should have signed him sooner. Now it will be more difficult, since he has a connection with the Reds. Jude is the future of English football and has it all. He has everything and if he continues like this he will be the best midfielder in England.”
The Portugal captain continues to be associated with Al-Nassr, but Saudi club president Musalli Al Muammar insists their No. 7 jersey being made loose is just a coincidence.
Cristiano Ronaldo became a free agent after seeing his contract with the Red Devils terminated. Various drop points have been raised for Cristiano, with the iconic Portuguese player linked to teams from Spain, the Middle East, England and America. A lucrative offer was allegedly made to him by Al-Nasr, and his favorite jersey is available in Riyadh, as Misharipov handed it over as he neared completion of his move to Al-Ahly.
Jaloliddin Masharipov is now wearing 77, but Musalli Al Muammar says it shouldn’t be taken as an indication that Cristiano will be on his way soon. The president of the Saudi club said that people always like to talk about everything, even when it comes to a player’s number on the training ground.
According to him, he asked management about the incident and their answer was that Jaloliddin was heading to Al Ahly in the summer and his jersey number #7 was reserved for another player. But Al Muammar says the deal ultimately fell through, with Jaloliddin taking a new number instead.
Ronaldo strives to keep fit
The Portugal international is spending his time working at Real Madrid’s training center as the striker looks to keep fit and sharper for a new challenge.
